User base

Concrete is one of Austria's most popular building materials. The country's total construction investment declined 4.2 percent in 2009, driven primarily by a reduction in public and commercial construction projects.

Value initiatives

The company's Austrian operations are well-positioned across the value chain, including aggregates, ready-mix concrete, concrete products, and admixtures. Admixtures are a very stable business; the company produces materials for the domestic market, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. The company's aggregates operations are geographically well-positioned for future infrastructure projects. Also, the company can provide mobile concrete plants for customers' large construction projects.
