Dominican Republic

CEMEX is a leading cement producer in the Dominican Republic. The company's extensive sales network covers the country's main markets of Santo Domingo, Santiago de los Caballeros, La Vega, San Pedro de Macoris, Samana, and Bavaro.

User base

CEMEX's Dominican operations network serves the country's primary consumption areas, including the nation's capital. The country's cement consumption reached 2.9 million metric tons in 2009.

Value initiatives

We have our own internal electricity generating capacity of approximately 25.7 megawatts. This capacity provides us with a key competitive cost advantage.
