What I like the most about my job in the Commercial Area of CEMEX is to know that my work has a direct and immediate impact on our business. Seeing our brands displayed at the point of sale, or being used in construction projects, whether large or small, fills me of great satisfaction and pride.

What impressed me the most during my interview process in CEMEX, was the quality of the people and the environment of collaboration and professionalism I felt. This gave me confidence I needed in order to make my decision, and I knew then that joining CEMEX, was the right career choice for me.

I joined CEMEX five years ago, as a Project Manager in the Strategic Planning Area. There, I had the opportunity to implement projects in various areas of our business, including operations, commercial, marketing, continuous improvement and innovation, among others.

For the past three years I have been occupied the position of Commercial Manager, overseeing country sales for our cement, ready mix and aggregate businesses. Most recently, I have been leading a new CEMEX initiative on the development of housing and infrastructure construction projects in Puerto Rico.

In order to be successful in CEMEX, one must have a clear understanding of business goals and a strong commitment to excellence, continuous improvement and innovation. Additionally, one must always strive to deliver consistent results and do more than what is expected; this is really what differentiate us from others, and enables us to grow professionally.
