I joined CEMEX Puerto Rico four years ago, was very excited to join an industry leader in cement and concrete. From the beginning I noticed how much CEMEX invests in its people, and how strong it was in the market.

Since my first position was as a Professional in Development, I rotated through the main functional areas of the company, such as commercial, cement and concrete. That was the beginning of an adventure—of many lessons learned and great challenges.

After five months, I joined the Cement Plant team as a Cement Milling Coordinator. Given my limited experience, at first it was a very big challenge. However, the Company trained me, and gave me all the tools I needed to become an important part of the area. The next year I was assigned to the packaging area with two areas under my watch: cement milling and packaging. At the beginning of 2008, after working for CEMEX for only two years, I became a Quality Manager. In this new position I got to visit other business units, learn their processes, and implement them in our plant.

CEMEX is a great company for people who want to develop themselves. It gives you all the tools and opportunities needed to be a successful professional, and to work together with other teams to "Build the future". CEMEX is a very important part of my life; working here has helped me grow both professionally and as a human being. I am proud to be part of the big family of CEMEX Puerto Rico.
