CEMEX will ultimately supply approximately 80,000 cubic meters of concrete for Phase 2 of Watani Villas, a new luxury residential community near the new Capital City of Abu Dhabi dedicated to citizens of the United Arab Emirates. With construction already underway, the entire development will comprise 1,370 luxury villas and 1,176 apartments and will offer a superb range of amenities, from clinics and schools to mosques, retail facilities, and entertainment.
Watani, Arabic for “My Nation,” is being created under the patronage of the government of Abu Dhabi by Sorouh Real Estate, one of the largest real estate developers in the UAE. Watani is Sorouh’s first master-planned community dedicated to Emiratis, UAE nationals. This residential community is being constructed to meet the standards and requirements of UAE national family living. It focuses first and foremost on sustainability and creating a unique environment that is carefully planned to serve growth, while nurturing a considered and self-contained life for Emiratis. Community elements important to UAE nationals will be integrated into a modern urban setting that maintains traditional themes and quality design.
Through May 2011, CEMEX in UAE had already delivered approximately 52,000 cubic meters of concrete, including special plaster and screed, for Phase 2 of the project, comprising 400 villas. At peak volume, the company has supplied concrete at a rate of between 5,000 and 14,500 cubic meters per month.
CEMEX is committed to providing its customers with the most reliable and comprehensive array of building materials. The company tailors its products and services to suit its customers’ specific needs, from residential construction to commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and other applications.
