We are an innovative leader in the ready-mix concrete market, offering a variety of special concrete products that simplify construction. For example, we recently developed an acid-resistant concrete, specifically designed for the construction of cooling towers and energy projects.
We are partnering with Vattenfall, a Swedish utility, to develop a waste-to-energy plant in Germany. This facility will use commercial and urban waste to generate 100 percent of our Rüdersdorf cement plant's electricity needs. This 30 Megawatt power plant is expected to come online in 2008, and will dispose of 250 thousand tons of waste per year.
