Nicaragua is predominantly a retail cement market. The country's broad user base is comprised of distributors, retailers, construction companies, ready-mix concrete companies, and transformers, as well as the general public and governmental agencies.
We have reinforced CEMEX Nicaragua's sales force by implementing a telemarketing system that offers our clients enhanced service quality. We have significantly lowered costs through efficiency and productivity improvements in all stages of the cement production process. And, with our installation of two electrostatic filters, we have reduced the cement plant's emissions by up to 99 percent.
