Cement is the building material of choice in the country's construction sectors because cement structures are relatively inexpensive compared to those built from other materials such as steel. In Venezuela, the lack of available substitutes increases the demand for and marketability of cement. Approximately 70 percent of Venezuela's cement is sold in bags. The remaining 30 percent is either sold through ready-mix concrete operations or directly to contractors in bulk.
We have launched our Construrama customer-service program in Venezuela. Through this program, we offer a group of our Venezuelan distributors the opportunity to sell a variety of products under the Construrama brand, a concept that includes standardized stores, image, marketing, products, and services.
